Edvany F. is a Brazilian artist born in 1974 in the city of Recife, where she lived all her childhood, which was marked by family breakdown bringing her insecurities and anxieties.

At 16 years old had her first contact with the fine arts. Following other paths in adulthood Edvany F. became a beauty and aesthetics professional, working for 13 years. At 42 Edvany had her moment of reunion with the opportunity to create again and since then has been dedicating and receiving encouragement from all her family and friends.

Her creative process requires a lot of research and even comes from the inspirations of everyday life. Her admiration for Jackson Pollock and Modigliani are great sources that inspire her to develop her work. The use of shapes, colors and lines makes up the reality of her work without pretension, however, which is imprinted on her subconscious or unconscious. Soon her palette is influenced by her mood, a moment in which she is unique to the artist when she soon dares to consciously make her attempts at the figurative by extracting her cultural and even sentimental interests from within. Her infinite pursuit of forms and abstractionism is part of her own encounter with the magical moment lived by the artist at her highest point of introspection.
