

Célio Seixas, born on January 27, 1954 in Campo Grande, in the western zone of Rio de Janeiro. Created in a place, he had a childhood rich in the contact with the nature. Oldest son of a family with eleven brothers. Self-taught, influenced by his father, who also appreciated the practice of painting, he began to take the first steps of his artistic career, later making his first solo exhibition. From then on, several exhibitions followed, Museum of Modern Art (MAM), Cultural Space of the Central Bank, University Museum Augusto Mota (SUAM), Salon Carioca de Arte and more dozens of exhibitions and awards until recently participating in the I Artists Exhibition Brazilians in Stockholm, Sweden.


Célio Seixas, an artist always dedicated to landscaping, shows his influence in Tarsila do Amaral, bearing in mind in his works the exuberance of the Brazilian fauna and flora.
