
Carlos Soares da Silva is a Brazilian plastic artist, born in Natal in Rio Grande do Norte in 1957. He began his desire for art as a boy, in his student days, he even designed comic books to sell to his colleagues. Self-taught, he followed his artistic sensibility by becoming an Advertising and Graphic Designer.
Professionally began his artistic career in 1983, the year in which he participated in an Exhibition of the Circuit of Plastic Arts of the Northeast, with a work done with black and white feather beak, titled "Apocalipse", having received from DEMEC / RN the FIERN award for the first place.
Carlos Soares is a "collector of prizes", with pride and simplicity Carlos Soares says:
"In 1984 I took third place in the SESC Painting Hall, with the work" Cangaceiro ". In 1992 I was ranked first in the Governor Painting Prize of the State, promoted by the José Augusto Foundation, with the work "Ecology" and at the end of last year, I also obtained the first place in the V Plastic Arts Hall of Natal, with the works "Abstract", "Machines" and "Cry of War".
The artist has a career of 34 years focused on art, always developing new techniques.
