Altair Ferreira is a Brazilian artist, born in 1965 in the city of Osasco / SP, but was in the neighborhood of Vila Santa Maria in the north of São Paulo, where he lived throughout his childhood and adolescence. His father was a furniture maker, who drew all the pieces of his industry and his mother had as hobby to paint in fabrics and caretaker of his home. The artist's parents invested in his training in the accounting area, with the goal of family business management. The artistic side of the son was observed as a child by his parents, who also supported him, investing in various materials, for his "jokes". But it was around the age of 22 that the artist awakened again to art. Divided between the studies and the accountant profession, he kept himself from art for a long interval.

At the age of 38 Altair Ferreira began his production of mosaics with glass inserts, which led him to meet his productions with previously produced collages. The success has been so much since that Altair Ferreira started to have his professional life positioned in the art market and also among friends and family.

The creative process of the artist Altair Ferreira is part of a constant search for everything that is connected to the mystery and nature, so the characteristic feature in his works is the presence of animals.
His inspirations sometimes wander in works of the great artists: Salvador Dalí, Gustav Klimt, Pablo Picasso, Hilma Af Klint among others
The artist was present at several exhibitions in São Paulo, São Bernardo do Campo / SP and in Santiago, Chile. Always having as initial proposal, to awaken in the imaginary the quality of vision, feeling, value and rescue.
